Undergraduate Advising Hours by appointment:

You may now schedule your own appointment for academic advising, career advising, and/or to meet with our Executive-in-Residence.  Click on the "Make Appointment" link on the SBA webpage.  Appointments are available daily, Monday through Friday, and early evenings once per week, when available.  Exceptions to this schedule occur during early and late registration periods.  Check the Walk-in Advising Calendar (below) for walk-in advising session dates/times during these periods.

Walk-in Advising Schedule for December 2008

Thursday, December 4	1:30 - 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday, December 10	9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Thursday, December 18	1:30  - 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday, December 23	10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Sign-in begins 1/2 hour before the scheduled start time.

Sign-in ends when we reach capacity.  Please arrive early.

• Please be advised that walk-ins involve waiting. The earlier you arrive, the better your chances are of being seen and decreasing your waiting time.  Bring something to occupy your time.  (Your text books!)
  
  
• Important:   If you are a transfer student and have not yet met with a School of Business Administration Adviser, you will need to bring copies of your transfer transcripts (unofficial) as we may not be able to access these records during a walk-in advising session.
   
• Regular weekly walk-in advising sessions are held once per week.   However, prior to and during registration periods, walk-in advising sessions are held several times per week.  Please check this Walk-in Advising Schedule on this website for our current monthly schedule.

The SBA Undergraduate Advisers now offer “Speed Advising”

to help with the demand of advising needs!

What is Speed Advising?
Speed Advising is meant SOLELY for students with registration concerns for Summer or Fall 2008.  If you need assistance with future course schedule planning, career or major questions, or other items not related to your Summer or Fall courses, then you must make a regular 30 minute appointment on our online appointment scheduler.

How Does it Work?
Speed Advising is just like regular advising, except appointments are 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes.  Appointments are made on the Appointment Scheduler by clicking on “Speed Advising” on the left-hand side.  Students should search the calendar, find an available adviser and time, and make an appointment. 

It is IMPORTANT for you to arrive on time.  Also, your adviser will be the next available when you arrive for your appointment, not necessarily the one you made your appointment with.
