Message from the Dean
SBA Strategic Positioning
Connections into the Business Community
The goal is to use Michigan as a laboratory for students and faculty to study, analyze, apply and research contemporary business theory and practice. Faculty and students will engage in research valued by business. Business leaders will be a source of relevant knowledge into the curricula. The result of the interaction will contribute to Michigan's economic growth and development by providing a solid education for future business leaders.
Career and Professional Development Skills
The SBA is increasing the opportunities for students to acquire business knowledge and skills. Through experiential learning in the classroom, internships, and forums to increase exposure to business professionals SBA students will have the opportunity to learn the personal and career skills needed to achieve their full potential in the business world and to make an immediate effective contribution to employers.
SBA Mission Statement
The mission of the School of Business Administration is to advance knowledge
and enhance students' abilities to manage in a global business environment. The
mission is achieved through a synergistic combination of teaching, scholarship
and professional service, with emphasis on the linkage of theory and practice,
and the application and management of technology. Toward the achievement of
these ends, the SBA promotes collaborative relationships among students,
faculty, administrators and employers.
