Kieran is associate professor of management information systems in the School of Business Administration at Oakland University. He received his Ph.D. from Indiana University in 1987, and has been at OU since 1991.

Kieran stopped publishing disciplinary research a number of years ago, to focus on helping students learn. It's a moral issue for him. Kieran wants to be worthy of the trust students place in him, when they take one of his courses.

Skilling is Kieran's main project. It is open source software that helps people create and run skills courses, like programming, and statistics. Kieran makes custom textbook-like-things with Skilling, for all of his courses.

Here are his course websites.
