Bio:

Dr. Yin Yu-Thompson joined Oakland University in 2010 after she completed her PhD in Accounting from University of Cincinnati. Her research focuses on financial accounting and capital markets, corporate finance, executive compensation and family firms. She has published in the Journal of Credit Risk, International Journal of Managerial Finance, Review of Accounting and Finance, and International Research Journal of Applied Finance. One of her articles was selected as a Highly Commended Paper in the 2016 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence. She has taught courses on introductory to financial accounting, managerial accounting, intermediate accounting and advanced financial accounting at the University of Cincinnati and Oakland University.
