Welcome to the department of
Decision and Information Sciences (DIS) in the School of
Business Administration at Oakland University
in Rochester, Michigan, USA.
With society increasingly dependent on information processing and
analysis, SBA’s Department of Decision and Information Sciences (DIS)
offers a course of study that helps students meet and exceed market
demands. DIS offers majors in Management
Information Systems (MIS) and
Production and Operations Management
(POM). The MIS major
prepares students for careers as systems analysts, programmers, database
administrators, and more. POM majors will be prepared to manage
processes related to all facets of manufacturing and service.
The DIS Department also offers minors in
MIS, POM, and
Quantitative Methods (QMM).
A QMM minor
will prepare graduates for careers in research, market, cost or
quantitative analysis.
