In 1974 Oakland University began offering classes in what the U.S. Department of Labor projected to be one of the fastest growing career opportunities in this country. Thousands of graduates later, the demand for paralegals continues to grow--spurred by consumer demand for high quality, low cost legal services.

We invite you to click on the links below or scroll down for more information and to find out more about the many opportunities we have at Oakland University for people interested in becoming a Paralegal.

New Course Requirement 2516 Law Practice Management

In an effort to update our program and maintain the highest quality of professionalism and usefulness, beginning in the fall semester of 2007 the course: Accounting 2515 has been phased out and a new course has taken its place: 2516 Law Office Management.  All new and current students who have not taken 2515 Accounting will be required to take 2516 Law Office Management to earn the Paralegal Certificate.  The course is taught by Cynthia S.
