Office for your intended major.
- Except for the Business Minor and Entrepreneurship Minor
you must meet with the appropriate Minor Coordinator (listed on the
information sheet) to discuss scheduling and to complete a Minor
Authorization Form. This is necessary in order to get approval to enroll for
SBA courses that are generally closed to non-business students.
Minor Information for Academic Year
2007-2008
All students who are not majors in the SBA, whether they have applied for
a minor or not, are limited to a maximum of 25%
of their total degree credits in business courses. (This
restriction also applies to Economics majors who are either in the
College of Arts & Sciences or the SBA.)
- All economics (ECN) courses and QMM 240, QMM 241, QMM 250 and QMM
452 are excluded from this 25% calculation.
- The maximum of 25% of total degree
credits includes courses taken at Oakland University and all previous
colleges.
- Transfer students are required to take a
minimum of 9 credits in the minor at Oakland University and at
least 6 of these 9
credits must be in 300-level courses or higher.
A MINIMUM GRADE OF 2.0 IS REQUIRED FOR
EACH COURSE

GENERAL BUSINESS (Minimum of 19 crs.)

Both ECN 200 and ECN 201 (or ECN 210), ACC 200, ORG 330 *, and six to
eight additional credits of 300- or 400-level SBA electives (ACC, FIN,
MGT, MIS, MKT, ORG, POM, or QMM courses) for which the student has the
prerequisites.
(ECN 300- or 400-level courses are not acceptable.)

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT (Minimum of
