The Organizational Utility of Enterprise Architecture

OVERVIEW

On October 1 and 2, 2008, Oakland University's School of Business Administration, along with the Enterprise Architecture Interest Group (EAIG), is hosting a management symposium that will address the following questions:

• How do senior level executives deal with uncertainties in formulating their strategies?
• What tools and techniques do firms use to implement these strategies?
• What role can Enterprise Architecture principles and approaches play in addressing these uncertainties?
• How might the School of Business Administration faculty and students, through targeted projects, help address these issues, in partnership with the Enterprise Architecture Interest Group and selected firms?

This two-day event includes a roundtable discussion, several educational sessions, a workshop, a golf outing and three networking events.  The schedule of events is available through this link.

Symposium attendance is by invitation only to corporate strategists, EA practitioners, and academics.  Our goal is to build connections among these groups and to begin to create a curriculum including student projects aimed at the questions above.
